You are all welcome in joining us in experiencing this powerful exciting practice. This rare and unique energy movement system features special stepping methods combined with 8 particular sets of postures. These sets are reflective of the main trigrams of the I Ching: Book of changes, but are crafted into a dynamic, yet subtle and powerful energetic distillation designed to empower your transformation of body, mind, emotions and spirit! This practice enriches balance, centering, grounding, relaxing and energizing your entire being.
This system is comprised of two main sets:
The first set is the complete Merry-Go-Round, which is an introductory set relatively easy to learn and practice.
This class is a prerequisite to learning the Transformations.
The second set which is known as The Cosmic Tour Bagua 8 Transformations, consists of 8 individual sections, and is much more sophisticated in design as it is an expression of the 64 Hexagram energies of the I Ching.
For students of the I Ching and Chinese internal styles of martial arts such as Ba Gua, Tai Chi and Shing Yi alike, Cosmic Tour Ba Gua offers a unique experiential style in interpreting the 8 Ba Gua trigrams and the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching via gentle physical movement.
Cosmic Tour Ba Gua features the eight transformations which represent the eight manifestations of natural energy: water, fire, thunder, wind, mountain, lake, earth and heaven. Each transformation follows the integrity of symmetry; it is done both on the right and left sides, to promote a balance of yin and yang—integration of the left and right brain.
The curriculum of Cosmic Tour Ba Gua Institute comprises of three levels:

Level 1 features Ba Gua’s signature circle walking called Merry-Go-Round while holding 12 specific arm and hand poses. It is the foundation for learning Cosmic Tour Ba Gua and activates the energy meridians and generates the life force to improve one’s health and wellbeing and enhance connection to the greater cosmos.

Level 2 features Transformations 1-4, namely The Whirlpool, Rotating Earth, Rumbling Thunder and Gentle Wind through which the practitioner experiences viscerally these natural forces and the hexagrams of the I Ching by the intricate physical movements of Cosmic Tour Ba Gua

Level 3 features Transformations 5-8, namely The Changing Sky, Majestic Mountain, Effervescent Lake, and Transforming Fire through which the practitioner experiences viscerally these natural forces and the hexagrams of the I Ching by the intricate physical movements of Cosmic Tour Ba Gua
Cosmic Tour Ba Gua was passed down through the Integral Way Taoist tradition and elucidated and transmitted to the West by Grandmaster Hua-Ching Ni aka OmNi, the author of an authoritative translation of the I Ching, the Book of Changes and numerous other books on Taoism. His teaching is being continued by his sons, Drs. Mao Shing Ni and Dr. Daoshing Ni through the College of Tao.
The Dean of International Bagua Institute is Dr. Arnold Tayam and classes are available both online and in-person classes. Reinforcement and refinement through the Video program is also available. Students are also encouraged to explore the I Ching: the Book of Changes by joining classes and discussion groups.
