Best Morning Practice

11/7/2022

As a person who has a particular spiritual interest both as a student and a teacher, I am always inclined to learning some wisdom of ritual and what is sacred in a particular tradition. We have built an altar, and have been taught the renewal practice, would there be a daily morning ritual practice available for me to practice and observe a more deepening experience

How to Assess Sharing Further Meditation

11/7/2022

As far as anyone being interested in deepening their practice after a Ni lineage meditation session, is it proper to prioritize promoting the offerings of ITMI or is my priority as a teacher of many meditation traditions, to assess what is best in context to the individual students needs and my relationship with them?

In the contemplation meditation is this always done with “calm”? or can we intent other states with an alternate affirmation?

Opening Eyes after Meditating

It also says in the meditations that When you open your eyes, there is an option implied for those that prefer to “soften their return”, does this mean that the typical form would have you wake “less softly”, and whichever one it may be what would be the explicit reason for the option and the difference between thewo experientially?

North Star

In the North Star meditation as we bring the light up filling each tan tien, are we to apply any effort in grounding, as this meditation, I have done standing Zhan Zhuang and it eventually feels like a tractor beam of light lifting me off the ground, and I become very light, how far should I take this , is it not recommended to stand doing the North Star Meditation?

As I always do it outside on a clear night and simple makes sense to stand for looking up for a bit more comfortably

Symbiosis with Nature:  Moonlight question

11/7/2022

In the Moon Ingestion Meditation, it begins with Tien Mu, does this not require the Moon light first or are we to emanate moonlight visually with Tien Mu?

Would it be helpful to gaze at the moon first to bring the light into the eyes while concurrently projected on Tien Mu?

It is a “cooling energy”. Is this energy anti-inflammatory? Would the moon have anti-inflammatory effects? and as anti-inflammation goes

When swallowing and after the light is within, is there a general conceptual aim at embodying this moonlight, as there are no further instructions once swallowed, the light being the goal of what conceptual benefit/effect?

Health? Worshipful? Devotional? Reverential? Cosmic? Somatic? Awakened? Or rather just Ineffable and multidimensional?

And if left to an intuitive multidimension then can it be used “creatively”? and would if so could that apply inversely with sun ingestion?

Practice to Balance Heaven and Earth from Book

11/7/2022

For L4P7, we contemplated the meaning of the line positions of Heaven (Chyan) with 6 unbroken lines, representing full yang, and Earth (Kun) with 6 broken lines, representing full yin. It just so happened (likely NOT coincidence) that I read during that month of the pillar from one of Om Ni's books about a practice related to visualizing and balancing these energies.

One traces and visualizes the symbol for Chyan (or the 6 unbroken lines) on the left hand and Kun (or the 6 broken lines) on the right hand. Then the hands are rubbed together and shaken. But of course, I forgot to immediately write down the book reference for this practice.

Do you know which book has this practice?

I would like to create a meditation that combines both the physical aspect of using the hands with the contemplative aspect of the meaning.

I personally have started trying to use the hand practice as a way to gain perspective at potential time of over-reaction. Your help is appreciated.

Healing Sounds Question

11/7/2022

I wonder about the healing sounds pillar. Can each sound be used individually to bolster the energy of a specific organ system or do they need to be done always in a certain sequence like the 5 clouds meditation?

For example, if one is having some emotion like worry could they just focus on the earth sound and color alone, or do they need to do the whole group in series? For those who struggle with grief, could they just use the metal sound and focus on clearing out the lung?

Also, is the internal sound as effective as making an audible sound?

What is the difference between the effect achieved by using an audible sound versus an internal sound?

Can the internal sound effectively be used to move excess emotion out of the body?
