Dr. Mao’s 2023 New year’s
message to the COT community
message to the COT community
As we near the end of one and beginning of a new cycle let us welcome in the Year of the Rabbit, I would like to send positive light to all of you for the coming year to have good health, inner peace, and opportunities for further deepening of your spiritual development.
We are all explorers of life, and the gift of life is the awareness that we are not merely physical beings but rather we are multidimensional with subtle spirit and soul and the joyful part of our journey on this human path is the rediscovery and cultivation of our spirit and the alignment with the universal divine.
In this coming year, through the efforts of our community of volunteers we will have many classes available online so no matter where you are, whenever you want you can access the wisdom of the I Ching, learn qi gong and meditation, master energy healing, get certified in feng shui, nutrition and even lose some weight and rehabilitate your back.
Besides these online classes, I invite you to a very special opportunity for further deepening of your spiritual development—our annual retreat from April 18-23 in Los Angeles. We will gather and connect in person and share the teaching and our lives over five very special days.
I would like to express my gratitude to all the certified instructors for contributing to making all these learning opportunities available. I would also like to encourage those of you who are beginners to think about advanced training and seek teacher’s certification so that one day you can join our efforts to share this valuable and useful teaching with the world.
As in any spiritual tradition there are the elders who are the torch bearers that not only keep the tradition alive over the centuries but also embody its values. In the integral way tradition, we have Mentors. To the Mentors, I would like to acknowledge your dedication to the Integral Way tradition and to your own spiritual development.
As a Mentor you are someone who renew your vows annually and commit to embody the wisdom, deepen your knowledge, and elevate the world with selfless service. You are the beacon of light in the dark times of the world whom others can look to for guidance and practical solutions.
As a Mentor, you also have the privilege of accessing the Advanced Traditional Practices or ATP which were only available, and still limited to the most senior students in the Integral Way tradition. The 36 practices of ATP bridge the separation between Heaven, Human and Earth.
Finally, as a Mentor you are entrusted and encouraged to offer your services through a satellite center so that your local community and the world at large can benefit from the wisdom and healthy practices of the Integral Way.
In closing, there’s no limit to spiritual development, just like the limitlessly expanding universe, our lives reflect this truth—that we individually and collectively can and must manifest the light in this time of darkness.
To Your Health!
